In a dim corner of my closet is a box...
...filled with Hoosier State Press Association awards
earned over a decade as the editor of two small newspapers. I occasionally go in and blow the dust off of them, just as a reminder to myself that I cannot, should not, and will not, rest on my laurels.
But the newspaper business taught me that a picture really is worth a thousand words. I continue to fill my photos with all the details that add up to a really great story. My photos have been called, 'complicated'. Yeah...I like that.
My freelance photojournalism has taken me from Midwest cornfields to London.
I exhibit frequently in galleries, sell art prints, and work on travel assignment.
I also pen articles and columns for several paper and online publications.
This and this photo are in the collection of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
I believe in the quote below by Virginia Woolf and am always looking for an excitable goat! pperryy@onlyinternet.net
